Starting in Casablanca, you’ll explore the vibrant city before heading to historic Rabat and the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen. From there, you’ll visit ancient Roman ruins, wander the fascinating medinas of Fez, and cross the breathtaking Atlas Mountains to experience the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll encounter scenic valleys, ancient kasbahs, and bustling souks, finishing your adventure in the lively city of Marrakech.
Your exciting 8-day Morocco tour begins in Casablanca, where you’ll visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Afterward, we’ll head to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, to explore the Royal Palace, the historic Oudayas Kasbah, and the stunning Hassan Tower. Following a delightful tour of Rabat, we will continue on to the magical blue city of Chefchaouen. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is renowned for its blue-painted buildings and scenic beauty, offering a peaceful atmosphere perfect for an evening stroll.
After breakfast, we’ll journey to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll marvel at well-preserved ruins and intricate mosaics that tell the story of Morocco’s Roman past. From Volubilis, we continue our journey to the cultural city of Fez. In Fez, you will explore the enchanting medina with its winding streets, and visit the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest continuously operating degree-granting university in the world. This city, full of history and tradition, is a perfect introduction to Morocco’s rich heritage.
Today is dedicated to an in-depth guided tour of Fez. You’ll visit the iconic blue gates of Bab Boujloud and the medieval tanneries where leather has been traditionally dyed for centuries. Explore the vibrant souks, where local artisans create intricate handicrafts and traditional goods. Visit the historic Al-Attarine Madrasa, one of the most important schools in Fez, and the tomb of Moulay Idriss II, the founder of Fez. This full day of exploration will leave you with a deeper understanding of Morocco’s cultural heart.
Today, we’ll drive south toward the desert, stopping first in the picturesque town of Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland” due to its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. We’ll continue through the vast cedar forests, home to Morocco’s famous Barbary apes, and pass through the scenic Midelt, known for its apple orchards. Our journey takes us along the Ziz Valley, where you’ll be captivated by the palm groves and towering cliffs, before arriving in the heart of the desert, Merzouga. Here, you’ll experience an unforgettable night in a traditional desert camp under the stars.
Wake up early for an unforgettable sunrise over the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, we’ll travel to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and ancient workshops, before heading to the breathtaking Todra Gorges. You can take a short walk through the narrow canyon, surrounded by towering cliffs. We will then head to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes, winding roads, and picturesque kasbahs. Here, you can relax and take in the magnificent views of this stunning region.
Today, we continue our journey toward Marrakech, with stops along the way. We’ll pass through the Roses Valley, famous for its fragrant rose fields, before visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient kasbah has been featured in several Hollywood films and offers a glimpse into Morocco’s history and architecture. After exploring the kasbah, we’ll make our way to the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you’ll check into your accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities. Explore the historic Medina, with its bustling souks and stunning landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace. Visit the famous Jardin Majorelle, a beautiful garden once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where street performers, food stalls, and local merchants create an exciting atmosphere. The day will offer a perfect blend of history, culture, and local life.
On your final day, depending on your flight, you’ll either head back to Casablanca for your departure or fly out of Marrakech. If time allows, enjoy some last-minute shopping in the vibrant souks or relax at a café, reflecting on the incredible experiences you’ve had during your Morocco adventure.
